Jacques Mees was born in 1959 in Moergestel, The Netherlands.


The talented Americana musician and singer began playing guitar when he was around nine years old. After forming and playing in small local folk bands for a few years, he decided to pursue his career as a solo artist.


His love for folk, country and blues music has resulted in building up a repertoire of songs which he performs on thousands of stages around the world.


The songs you will hear on many of his albums are written by some of his mentors and heroes such as Bob Dylan, Townes van Zandt, John Prine and Guy Clark.


Jacques Mees is a versatile performer who has also produced many other albums featuring his own original songs.
